The Oakland Expos are a semi-professional baseball team made up of players all over the SF Bay Area. The team has current college players, ex-college players, and ex-pro players.
The Team was founded by Panos Lagos in 1975 and still going strong. The Expos played in the Stan Musial World Series in 2001, and are looking to head back in 2009!
The 2009 Oakland Expos are playing in two leagues this year. The Sacramento Rural League (www.srlbaseball.com) and the Sacramento Stan Musial League. This year's Oakland Expos looks to be one of the best teams in recent years, with 7 Division I, 4 Division II, 1 Divison III, 5 NAIA, and 12 Junior College players.
Come check out your 2009 Oakland Expos at Games throughout the summer. The Oakland Expos home field is Salesian High School. Hope to see you out there!
